Tobias Banaschewski

Tobias Banaschewski, MD, PhD, is Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Medical Faculty Mannheim of the University of Heidelberg, Medical Director of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry of the Central Institute of Mental Health (CIMH), as well as and Deputy Director of the CIMH in Mannheim, Germany. He is also Chairman of the European Network for Hyperkinetic Disorders (EUNETHYDIS) and Member of the European ADHD Guidelines Group. He was President of the German Society of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy (DGKJP) and Coordinator of the German (S3) Guideline on ADHD. His main research focus is on developmental psychopathology, neuropsychology, neurobiology and psychopharmacology of ADHD, ASD and comorbid disorders. Dr. Banaschewski studied psychology and medicine at the University of Marburg (Germany) and received his training as in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the University of Göttingen (Germany).
