Andre Sourander, MD is Professor of Child Psychiatry at the University of Turku and he has been affiliated as adjunct or visiting professor in several universities including e.g Columbia University, New York; Nagoya University, Japan; Shantou University, China; Jakarta University, Indonesia . He has published about 300 peer reviewed scientific articles and supervised 25 PhD students. The focus of his work has been conducting birth cohort studies from early childhood extending to adulthood, to identify early psychosocial and biological risk factors for the causes of mental health disturbances, as well as to find keys to the development of interventions focused on children at risk. He has been principal investigator for several randomized controlled trials using remote, digital and phone coaching.
